Epic Gems is a scratch card game developed by the creative team at Gamevy, who like to stand out as designing games that are a bit different from the usual games we find online. In recent years, we have seen an explosion of games on online casinos. However, we have never seen anything like Epic Gems before. Most games on online casinos have been either card games like poker or blackjack, table games like roulette or some sort of video slot, but not Epic Gems there are no reels, chips or cards on this game. Instead, this is a new take on how to do online casino games.
When you load up the Epic Gems scratch card game what you will be presented with is a science fiction style game with a spacy backdrop and lots of gems littered across the screen. On the home screen, you will also be presented with basic instructions about how to play, and at the side is the option to select your stake. Once you start you will hear an eerie science fiction tune playing and that is accompanied with some appropriate sound effects. You will now start selecting gems, and as you do you will enjoy the neat graphics of swirling vortexes which add that extra dimension to the game.
How to Play
Epic Gems is essentially a modern take on the classic instant games. To start you off you will be asked to select your stake, which on this game can be £1, £2, £3 and so on to a maximum of £10 per shot. Once it is time to start, you will be presented with a screen with a multitude of gems – 40 in total – of all different colours from red, orange, purple and green. What you have to do is simply select gems, and each gem you select will be worth a cash value, however, there is four hidden mine gems that are not and will not only not award a cash prize but will end the game with no win.
Betting and Payouts
Before you start your journey on Epic Gems, you will need to select your stake, which as mentioned above can be as little as £1, but can go up to a maximum of £10 per shot. This choice is important as this bet becomes the value of your stake for the entire shot and the value you select will affect the value of your potential winnings. The starting win will be the value of your stake and each gem selected will add to that starting cash pot, with players able to cash out at any stage. The top prize on offer on any one shot is double your stake and players will win this if they manage to select seven gems in a row without hitting the dreaded mine gem.
