European Roulette

European Roulette Logo

European Roulette was invited in France back in the 17th century, and four centuries later, you can enjoy the historic and hugely popular game of European Roulette online without the need for a professional dealer thanks to Gamevy. Gamevy’s European Roulette game involves a combination of strategy and chance, but even beginners will enjoy this version as the rules are relatively simple. Plus, it’s compatible with desktops, laptops, smartphones, and tablets.

The fundamental difference between American and European Roulette is that the American wheel features an extra zero (the “00”) which lowers the RTP (Theoretical Return to Player). In this PlayCasinoGames version, the RTP is an impressive 97.3%, which is considerably higher than most online slots!

Design

This European Roulette online game plays in landscape mode to allow the betting area to fit comfortably on a variety of screen sizes. If you’ve played European Roulette in a land-based casino or online before, you’ll be familiar with the layout. There are thirty-nine sections in total which include separate boxes for numbers 0 to 36, 2:1, ranges of numbers (1 to 12, 1 to 18, 13 to 24, 19 to 36, and 25 to 36), Even, Odd, Red, and Black. You can place your betting chips on single or multiple sections of the betting area, which includes overlapping sections so that you’re betting on two or four groups of numbers at once.

The game controls are listed across the bottom of the European Roulette screen. From left-to-right, there’s the Menu (where the rules and sound settings are located), an “X” which clears all current bets, an Undo button, your chips (N.B., you can place bets with anything between £1 and £100), a “X2” symbol that doubles all placed bets, the Auto-Play button (which lets the game automatically play through twenty-five to one hundred games for you), and the Start button.

How to Play

Once you’ve read up on the European Roulette online game rules and placed your bets, all you need to do is spin the wheel.

Most beginners choose to start with the simplest bets such as Odd, Even, Red, Black or numbers. Once you’re feeling more confident, you can try out some of the other bet types such as Split, Street, Columns, and Six Line, which are all explained in the rules.

As soon as you tap or click the “Spin” button, the game zooms in to show a view of the spinning roulette wheel, and the ball will automatically drop onto the wheel. If, once the wheel comes to rest, the ball falls in one of the pockets that match any of your bets, you receive an automatic notification showing how much you’ve won.

If you enjoy playing classic table games like European Roulette online, you’ll also find Golden Ball Roulette and Premier Roulette among other exciting titles in our lobby.
